Resumo
In this work, we find the most current dental science produced for guidance and support of dentists in dental care for pregnant and puerperal patients. Some issues related to the work process in the health care of pregnant women are addressed so that professionals understand how dental care makes up the pregnant woman's integral care and the work strategies that facilitate this assistance. The book also presents the main dental care protocols for the care of pregnant women and oral health education in prenatal and puerperal care. In this way, the book brings together the main protocol measures evidenced in the literature that deals with the subject and the guidelines of the Brazilian Ministry of Health and the Brazilian National Health System (SUS).
